"When was the last time God dropped you to your knees?"

Yup. Right there.

For the last two weeks, I've been focusing on listening. Learning very specifically to not talk, but listen. Interviewing friends, listening to clients and finding out so many things, but also just being more thoughtful.

One thing I know I've missed out on in this experience is listening to God. Listening FOR Him. I've been bowling through the last few weeks finding closure and peace and new friends and space and alone time. I keep thinking about praying. I keep thinking about making space for it... and then I don't. I get caught up in another thing on my giant to-do list. I find out all of the stuff I'm doing is too important to take a few minutes on my knees.

The biggest part of my journey of growth is finding out who I really am and living an authentic life. But I'm missing the biggest piece still. Business is growing, but I have a few clients who don't trust my team's expertise. These clients don't fit our authentic brand view and I keep worrying about them instead of praying.

I worry about my dogs not going with me on this big trip. I worry about Sisarina not being busy without me. I worry about all my work not getting done in time to leave. I worry about disappointing others. But I really need to leave it up to God and tonight, He made it clear by putting this quote in my head.

It's time to get down. Surrender. Be His daughter.

Lord Jesus,
Take this worry from me. Replace it with the certainty that YOU are God alone. Show me Your will and give me the peace I need to breathe. I trust You and know You only want what's best for me. Help me to deal with people with only the best intentions and show me your grace. Amen.
