A Visit to Chongwe, Zambia

Sponsored Child Visits & Team Photo Fun

Now that the Women of Worth Conference in Zambia is finished and all of us caught up on our sleep, we all shared how nice it was not to rush out the door this morning (Friday). We got in the van later in the morning and headed to Chongwe with Area Coordinator, Moses to give care packages to some of our sponsored children. We shared lollipops with some of the other local children and had a chance to spend time with Derrick, the Chongwe Coordinator.

A woman sitting on the floor of the church we visited spent a full day every week with God, praying and reading her Bible. It was her space to find peace with her spiritual life. Sandy and Christine shared life with her and came away touched by her desire for a deeper relationship with Christ.

Compared to the conference, we had a relaxing day in the van stopping and sharing blessings with those in the Chongwe country outside of Lusaka. A really hot day with PB&J's made on a dusty road and a whole bunch of fun team photos (even ones with me in them!). Saturday will be full of Kids Clubs and home visits. We'll rest up to be ready for our last marathon day before South Africa.
